TAMDA’S DISTRICT PLANNING COORDINATING UNIT(DPCU) MEETS TO BEAT DEADLINE

The District Planning Co-ordinating Unit (DPCU) on Tuesday, 10th August, 2021 held its second (2nd) quarter meeting at the Twifo Ati-Morkwa District Assembly hall.

Present at the meeting were Mr. Bernard K. P. Sakyiama – the District Co-ordinating Director (DCD) of Twifo/Ati-Morkwa (Chairman), Representatives from the Traditional Council, Representatives of the Twifo/Ati-Morkwa Assembly and all Departmental Heads and Units of the District Assembly.

Mr. Bernard K.P. Sakyiama welcomed all members present to the meeting. He added that the purpose of the meeting was to discuss the Performance Review of the District Assembly. He explained that the Medium Term Development Plan (MTDP) was the manual which guided the implementation of developmental programs and policies of the District and therefore, urged members to put up their best to come up with an implementable plan for a holistic development in the District.

Mr. Alfred Dadson, the District Planning Officer (DPO) took the gathering through a proposed document which included a proposal for the Vision, Mission, Functions, Core Values and Objectives of the District Assembly.

He also updated the house on the progress on the five-member team carved out of the DPCU to kick start the preparation of the Medium Term Development Plan (MTDP) so as to meet the calendars.

The District Co-ordinating Director commended all and sundry for their prompt response and contributions to towards the success of the meeting. He urged members tasked with assignments to do well to work hard and with a lot of urgency to meet all deadlines prearranged by the Regional Coordinating Council (RCC).
