Lands Commission

Mandate

The office of the Administration of stool lands (OASL) is responsible for the collection and disbursement of stool land revenue as mandated by Article 267 (2), (6)-(8) of the 1992 constitution and the office of the Administrator of stool lands Act, 1994(Act 481), Apart from managing stool land revenue, the office consults and co-ordinates with the relevance public agencies, stools, traditional authories on matters relating to administration and development of stool lands and research into stool lands issues.

Mission

The office of the Administration of Stool Lands(OASL) exists to enhance stool land revenue mobilizaton and disbursement to facilitate sustainable development and efficient management of stool lands for the benefit of present and future generations.

VISION

To excel as the major source of stool land revenue mobilization agency for the development of stool land owning communities and to help alleviate poverty.
