On Friday, 6th March 2026, the Twifo Ati-Morkwa District joined the rest of the nation to commemorate the Ghana Independence Day, marking 69 years of Ghana’s independence. The district-level celebration took place at Twifo Nuamakrom in the Twifo Ati-Morkwa District. The event was graced by several distinguished personalities, including the District Chief Executive, Isaac Yawson, the Member of Parliament for the constituency, David T. D. Vondee, the District Director of Education, Augustina Attakorah, and the Council of State Member, Hakeem Addae.
