On Tuesday 11th November 2025, The Twifo/Ati-Morkwa District Assembly, in collaboration with the Twifo Praso Disability Fund Management Committee, has distributed various support items to 55 persons with disability in Twifo Praso. The event was led by Hon. Isaac Yawson (DCE), His Excellency Hakeem Addae Council of State, Hon. David Vondee (MP), Hon. Daniel Agbodza (Presiding Member), Nana Kwesi Asiedu V, and Mr. Kofi Kwakye (Head of Social Welfare Department).

Items distributed included:

30 collapsible white canes

11 wheelchairs

27 deep freezers

2 knitting machines

5 fufu pounding machines

1 mist blower

Cash support of GHC 26,900.00 to 9 individuals

The distribution exercise formed part of the Assembly’s commitment to support and empower persons with disability, particularly in enhancing their mobility, boosting their livelihood opportunities, and enabling them to engage in income-generating activities. The initiative also aims at promoting inclusivity, independence, and equal opportunities for all persons with disability within the district.
