CLIENT SERVICE TRAINING
A day training on client service and relationship was organized for staff of the Twifo/Ati-Morkwa district assembly on the new client service outlook which took place at the district assembly’s hall on 15th February, 2024. The training was organized by Regional Coordinating council of the Central Region of Ghana.
The aim of this training was to equip local government service agencies to compete with private agencies in terms of service delivery. Can two (2) walk together unless they agree was the slogan for the training, emphasizing on unity and collaborative support in delivering quality services to the clients of the assembly.
Mr. Moses Kofi Nyame, Head Human Resource of the Central Regional Coordinating Council took a membership of sixty-eight (68) staff of the assembly through the training. He advised all to treat clients with respect and honour, respect other staff no matter their office for they were the reasons why we existed as staff of the Assembly, “effort is expedient but knowing where to apply the effort makes all the difference”, this he said. He encouraged all to come up with new ways of doing things.
The Local Service was established by the Local Government Service Act 2003 (ACT 656) which was repealed and replaced by the Local Governance ACT 2016. Its vision is to become a world class decentralized client service provider. Its core values include Professionalism, Accountability, Client focused and anonymity. It is therefore the Responsibility of Management to make sure clients adhere to structures, address the complaints of clients on time and manage clients’ needs in an effective and efficient manner.
Staff of the assembly were burdened with the mandate of becoming agents of quality Client Service delivery and ambassadors of confidentiality.
