The Twifo/Ati-Morkwa District Assembly on 1st September, 2021 met with Stakeholders to discuss the fixing of fees for the year 2022.

The occasion was graced with the presence of members and executives of various bodies in the District as well as Departmental Heads/Units.

In the stead of the Honourable District Chief Executive – Robert Agyemang-Nyantakyi and the District Co-ordinating Director – Mr. Bernard K. P. Sakyiama, the District Finance Officer (DFO) – Eliasu Masahudu welcomed the gathering. He commended them for coming out in their numbers to not just support the event but to also share their concerns on Fee Fixing and the way forward since the era of Covid-19 is still lingering.

The District Budget Officer (DBO), Mr. Louis Owusu-Ansah explained a few concepts concerning the generation of the Internally Generated Funds (IGF) as well as the Legal backing that mandates the District Assembly to charge and collect fees and revenues.

Stakeholders urged the District Assembly to maintain the current year’s 2021 fees for the coming year (2022). After a long deliberation between both parties, an agreement to maintain the fees was finally reached. The Stakeholders were elated and commended the Assembly for their utmost consideration.
