TAMDA HOLDS FIRST QUARTER TOWNHALL MEETING

The representative of the President of the Republic of Ghana in the Twifo/Ati-Morkwa District, Hon. Robert Agyemang-Nyantakyi on Friday, 31st March, 2022 engaged the Twifo Nyenasi community in a session of the First Quarter Town Hall Meeting the Twifo Nyinasi Roman Catholic Church.

The meeting which was graced with the presence of the Traditional Authorities of Twifo Nyenasi, Unit Committee Members, the Police Command and Departmental/Unit Heads from the District Assembly.

The District Chief Executive, Hon. Robert Agyemang-Nyantakyi said that the meeting was often held to account for the stewardship of the District Assembly. He added that many a time such meetings were held in an open place to be witnessed by the public, however, this was a special one for the folks of Nyenasi as they were about to witness an ‘evidence based’ presentation. Hon. Robert Agyemang-Nyantakyi explained that ‘evidence based’ meant that publicly making known some of the District’s achievements.

He also pointed out progress the District had witnessed so far since 2017 and some activities the District Assembly intends to carry out in the 2022 fiscal year. His presentation captured a Brief Profile of the District, Educational Projects and Programs, Health Projects, Economic progress, Water and Sanitation updates, Agricultural updates, Road network projects, Communications networks and Energy (Electrical expansion) as well as planned activities for physical projects for the year 2022.

Participants were engaged in fora which afforded the Hon. District Chief Executive the opportunity to clarify questions and misconceptions.
