STAFF OF TAMDA BENEFITS FROM A TWO-DAY WORKSHOP

The staff of Twifo/Ati-Morkwa District Assembly (TAMDA) benefited from a two-day training workshop at the District Assembly Hall organized by the Department of Human Resources on 30th November, 2020.

The exercise was aimed at refreshing the memories of the Staff of the Assembly in order familiarise themselves with the systems in discharging their duties in their related departments.

Mr. Bernard K.P. Sakyiama, District Coordinating Director (DCD), in his opening remarks welcomed the gathering to the workshop. He took the opportunity to elaborate to the gathering on need for the Assembly to organise such periodic trainings in order to upgrade the methods and process of discharging their core duties to foster growth and development. He then gave a brief purpose of the meeting to the house and implored them to participate actively in the workshop to benefit from the workshop.

The resource persons Mr. Hassan Diwura and Mr. Richard Quaigrain, both Chartered Accountants, led the gathering through series of presentations. They explicitly gave an in- depth explanation on the Protocols of Local Governance, Report and Minute Writing, comprehensive knowledge in the Competency of a Functioning Assembly Member, as well as Strategies on Revenue Mobilization.

Attendees were very content and enlightened by the workshop and therefore recommended that the workshop be organized periodically.

Mr. Peter Mantey, Head of the Department of Human Resource, expressed his joy and commended the resource persons and the gathering for honouring their invitation.
