The 2026 Annual Action Plan for the Twifo/Ati-Morkwa District outlines the key development activities the District Assembly intends to implement across multiple sectors. The plan focuses on improving local economic growth through business forums, market construction, and support for community-led projects. In the education sector, the assembly will construct and complete several classroom blocks, provide school furniture, support brilliant but needy students, and organize essential educational events and meetings. Health initiatives include constructing and completing CHPS compounds, renovating facilities, conducting disease prevention programs, and strengthening district health management.
Water and sanitation projects form a major part of the plan, involving the construction and repair of boreholes, building toilet facilities, regular sanitation exercises, fumigation, waste management improvements, and training water management teams. In agriculture, the district aims to train farmers, support farm visits, distribute seedlings, plant trees, and celebrate Farmers’ Day. Disaster management activities include campaigns, waterway dredging, anti–illegal mining support, and committee meetings aimed at reducing risks and protecting lives and property.
The plan also prioritizes physical planning through street naming, installation of signage, land acquisition support, and monthly planning meetings. Road infrastructure will be enhanced through the construction of culverts and road safety sensitization. Social welfare programs focus on assisting persons with disabilities, promoting child rights, addressing gender-based violence, managing child protection cases, and conducting community sensitization. Finally, administrative activities such as capacity building, assembly and committee meetings, project monitoring, budget preparation, revenue mobilization, and property valuation aim to strengthen governance and ensure efficient service delivery across the district.
