Golden Star Mines, a subsidiary of Chifeng Gold, received a team of Heads of Department led by the District Chief Executive (DCE) Hon. Robert Agyemang-Nyantakyi and the District Coordinating Director (DCD) Mr. A.M Awal Suhuyini of the Twifo/Ati-Morkwa district assembly on August 7, 2024. This visit follows the company’s unrelenting support for the district.

Mr. Quao, head of community affairs at the company, welcomed the district and expressed how honouring it was for them (Golden Star Mines) to host the district, as it is a rare moment to have a formidable district like the Twifo/Ati-Morkwa District visiting.

The Deputy Managing Director of Golden Star Mines in his remarks highlighted some of the support it offers the district. Even though the firm is not within the Twifo/Ati-Morkwa District, many of its staff are from the district, and that and many other reasons makes them obliged to offer support when they are called upon.

Over the years, Twifo/Ati-Morkwa district has received so much support from Golden Star Mining Company, especially in the area of agriculture and roads, to mention but a few, and this support has increased steadily as the years passed by.

In an address by the DCE, he said that for almost eight (8) years since he assumed office, his administration has received commendation as a result of some support from Golden Star Mines. He encouraged management not to relent in such support even after his tenure of office. He proceeded by offering a citation of appreciation to management to cement the offering of thanks by the district.
