TAMDA JOINS GHANA IN COMMEMORATING “CLEAN GHANA DAY”.

The clean Ghana exercise commenced on Saturday 14th June, 2025 following a district postponement on 2nd June, 2025

Hon. Isaac Yawson, the District Chief Executive (DCE) for the district together with staff of the district assembly, security officers and volunteers gathered at the district’s old council at 6:00 am to commence the activity.

Madam Eluwa the CEO of still drinking mineral water a district-based water manufacturing company, donated two (2) shovels and cutlasses, seven (7) standing brooms, and twenty (20) bags of water in support of the exercise. The items were presented to the DCE as a gesture in support of the exercise.

The DCE acknowledged receipt of donated items as he poured praise of support on madam Eluwa for her support towards the activity. He encouraged other stakeholders to do same and join in the exercise to ensure its success.

Consequently, he matched the team towards the commencement of the exercise through the Praso township to the main lorry park towards the district magistrate court. It was overwhelming to find volunteers across the district come out to support the exercise as many with shovels, cutlasses, brooms and tricycles helped in gathering and dislodging refuse at appropriate dumping sites.

DRIP machines were also used in its full capacity in gathering and loading of refuse and dislodged at appropriate sites.

The exercise ended with many acknowledging the leadership of the DCE towards a collaborative, clean and successful exercise.
