The newly enskinned Zongo Chief Sariki Suleman Abubakar of the Twifo/Ati-Morkwa District on Thursday August 15, 2024 paid a courtesy visit to the District Chief Executive Hon. Robert Agyemang-Nyantakyi. This was led by the leadership and executives of the Zongo community within the district.
His visit was to foster unity amongst the Zongo Community and to partner with the district assembly towards a wholistic development of the community. “It is said that the rowdiest places in many Ghanaian communities are the Zongo areas, which is not so in many circumstances. It is of this that my Leadership seeks to bring together the youth, elders and opinion leaders of the Zongo community so as to promote tolerance and oneness”, this the enskinned Chief Sariki Suleman Abubakar said as he addressed the gathering.
Hon. Robert Agyemang-Nyantakyi expressed his gratitude for the honour and respect shown him by the Zongo Community in their visit to his office. He pledged support towards the development of the Zongo Community anytime the leadership calls upon him.
Notwithstanding, he encouraged the leadership to educate the youth of the Zongo community to resist the influence of politicians who would want to engage them in election malpractices. “As this year marks the peak the national elections, we are individually responsible for the outcome of the peace and security of our district and nation at large. I therefore encourage all to be ambassadors of peace in this upcoming election and to support in whatever way possible so as to have a unified Twifo/Ati-Morkwa, for we are one people and have one place to protect as home”. This was stated as the DCE addressed leaders of the Zongo Community.
Sariki Suleman Abubakar, thanked the DCE for receiving them with open hands and for being a beacon of hope and courage to the good people of the land.
