BREMANG-MORKWA IN THE TWIFO/ATI-MORKWA DISTRICT BAGS A NEWLY CONSTRUCTED BASIC SCHOOL
Another project sees the light of day in the Twifo/Ati-Morkwa District.
On Friday, 19th November 2021, at Bremang-Morkwa in the Twifo/Ati-Morkwa District, a Newly constructed modernized 6 No. Classroom Block was handed over to the Morkwa Basic School for use.
In his opening address, the Omanhene for the Ati-Morkwa Traditional Area, Oseadeayo Nana Kwesi Kenin IV commended the DCE for honoring his community with such a project and called for more developmental projects in the District.
The District Director of Education – Mr. Anthony Takyi expressed his utmost excitement upon seeing the completion of such a beautiful structure and commended the Coastal Development Authority (CODA) for the project. He urged both the District Assembly and the Coastal Development Authority (CODA) team to construct more of such projects to curb congestion in some schools in the District.
Delivering his remarks, the District Chief Executive (DCE) – Hon. Robert Agyemang-Nyantakyi listed the lack of educational infrastructure as a major challenge in the District. Again, he commended the Government for the implementation of the One million – One constituency policy, from which the new Morkwa Basic School was constructed. On the same policy, some other projects which benefitted were the Health Center at Oseneagya, the Silo at Moseaso, the new Market Stalls at the Twifo Praso New Market, the ongoing construction of a Girls’ school at Twifo Praso as well as the maintenance of Bore Holes in some communities. He assured the gathering of more Government interventions to come.
Also, the Chief Executive Officer for CODA, Lawyer Jerry Ahmed Shaib lauded the Traditional Leaders present for their immense cooperation and assured them of a compensation by considering their request to construct a dormitory for the Morkwa SHS. He ended his speech by urging the people gathered to support the Teachers, the District and the Traditional Authority and to ensure proper maintenance of completed project.
The District Chief Executive, CEO of CODA together with the Traditional Leaders officially unveiled the plaque and cut the ribbon for the newly constructed Morkwa Basic School Block.
